Many resources are available for faculty and instructors at Indiana University who wish to use computing technologies in their classes. Some of these resources are described below. Services for multiple campuses

Classroom Technology Services

The Classroom Technology Services unit provides multimedia equipment and display devices, training, and support to those teaching in general purpose classrooms. The unit is responsible for the installation and operational integrity of the technology permanently installed in classrooms, and also makes available a range of mobile equipment. Classroom Technology Services staff work collaboratively with other UITS units, Physical Plant, Campus Facilities Services, and the University Architect's Office in the development of classrooms and other learning environments for effective use of instructional and presentation technology.

Media Design and Production

Media Design and Production is a university-wide production service with offices at both the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses, specializing in all forms of digital media, including web development and interactive media, audio and video production, graphics, animation, illustration, and media duplication, transfer, and conversion.

Streaming audio and video

IU currently supports streaming of RealMedia, Windows Media, and QuickTime file formats. For more information, see Streaming audio and video over the web at IU.

Videoconferencing

IU faculty and staff can reserve specially equipped rooms for videoconferencing at any of the IU campuses; see About videoconferencing at IU.

TLTC

The Teaching & Learning Technologies Centers provide workshops and presentations, one-on-one consulting, and direct practical experience applying teaching and learning technologies. TLTC staff have training and experience in such areas as instructional development, visual design, Macintosh and Windows computing, instructional servers, and electronic conferencing.

CIC

Campus Instructional Consulting (CIC) in Franklin Hall 004 (812-855-9023,  teaching@indiana.edu ) provides assistance to faculty and associate instructors with the development, implementation, and evaluation of teaching, technology, and course innovations. Help is available in the form of confidential consultations, workshops, and publications about college pedagogy. CIC staff also help faculty design departmental workshops on teaching and learning.

CTL

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) works to advance excellence in teaching. The CTL offers a wide array of programs, events, and services that foster innovation in teaching, including teaching with technology.
