How do I view and edit output .spo created in previous versions of SPSS?
Because SPSS (version 16.0 or later) uses the
.spv output format, it cannot open output files with
the old extension .spo created in earlier versions of
SPSS.
To view and edit .spo files in SPSS 16.0 or later, you
need an application called the Legacy Viewer. At Indiana University
Bloomington, the SPSS Legacy Viewer is installed on all Student
Technology Center (STC) computers.
For use at home, you can install the SPSS Legacy Viewer from the SPSS 16.0 for Windows CD, or download it from the SPSS Support web site.
