What are the minimum system requirements for iTunes?
The minimum system requirements for using iTunes are as follows:
Mac OS X
- Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, or Mac OS X 10.4.7
- 500MHz G3 processor or better
- QuickTime 6.5.2 or later
- 256MB RAM
- Combo Drive (DVD/CD-RW) or SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW); required for burning CDs
- Broadband Internet connection (e.g., DSL, cable, LAN); required for buying and streaming music
- Additional requirements for video:
- 1GHz G4 processor or better
- QuickTime 7.1.6 or later
- 16MB of video memory
Windows
- Windows XP with Service Pack 2, or 32-bit edition of Windows Vista
- 500MHz Pentium class processor or better
- QuickTime 7.1.6 or later (included with iTunes)
- 256MB RAM
- Supported CD-R or DVD-R drive; required to burn CDs
- Broadband Internet connection (e.g., DSL, cable, LAN); required for buying and streaming music
- Additional requirements for video:
- 2GHz Pentium class processor or better
- 512MB RAM
- 32MB of video memory
