What are the minimum system requirements for iTunes?

The minimum system requirements for using iTunes are as follows:

Mac OS X

• Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, or Mac OS X 10.4.7
• 500MHz G3 processor or better
• QuickTime 6.5.2 or later
• 256MB RAM
• Combo Drive (DVD/CD-RW) or SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW); required for burning CDs
• Broadband Internet connection (e.g., DSL, cable, LAN); required for buying and streaming music
• Additional requirements for video:
  • 1GHz G4 processor or better
  • QuickTime 7.1.6 or later
  • 16MB of video memory

Windows

• Windows XP with Service Pack 2, or 32-bit edition of Windows Vista
• 500MHz Pentium class processor or better
• QuickTime 7.1.6 or later (included with iTunes)
• 256MB RAM
• Supported CD-R or DVD-R drive; required to burn CDs
• Broadband Internet connection (e.g., DSL, cable, LAN); required for buying and streaming music
• Additional requirements for video:
  • 2GHz Pentium class processor or better
  • 512MB RAM
  • 32MB of video memory
