Using Windows XP, how do I change the screen resolution?
To change the screen resolution on a computer running Windows XP, follow these steps:
- From the
Startmenu, select eitherControl Panel, orSettingsand thenControl Panel.
- Double-click
Display.
- On the
Settingstab, under "Screen resolution", use the slider to change the resolution setting.
- Click
Apply.
- After the screen resolution changes, you'll have 15 seconds to
confirm the change. Click
Yesto confirm, orNoto revert to the previous resolution setting.
Note: To access additional resolution settings,
from the Settings tab, click Advanced. On the
Adapter tab, click List All Modes, and then select a
resolution from the scrolling list. Click OK, and then
Apply to apply the change.
