Using Oncourse CL, how do I use the Library Resources tool?
Some campus, school, and departmental libraries maintain online lists of academic resources and databases that are useful for their students. You can use the Library Resources tool to link to specific library resources for your course.
At Indiana University Bloomington, library staff can create a course-specific page for your class, which will display both in the Library Resources tool in Oncourse and in the Class web pages section of the IUB Libraries web site. Fill out the Request a Course Page online form.
At IUPUI and IUPU Columbus, instructors can edit the Library Resources
tool. To do so, after adding the tool to your site, click Library
Resources in the menubar. In the page that appears,
click Show Layout Editor, or in any of the library tools on
the page, click Edit to customize that tool. Empty tools are
not displayed to students, but are visible to instructors for editing.
If the instructor has not done any editing, students will see a
default page with general IUPUI library resources.
If the Library Resources tool can't find any library resources for your course, it will redirect users to an appropriate library page. For example, at IU Kokomo it will redirect to the Indiana University Kokomo Library home page.
