Where can I find information about graduate student laptop recommendations and support in the Kelley School of Business?

Laptop recommendations

Technology Services (TS) in the Kelley School of Business recommends that all graduate students select the laptop that best fits their needs. For information about computer recommendations for Kelley School of Business graduate students, visit the Technology Services Notebook Computers page. For a complete list of UITS hardware recommendations at Indiana University, see ComputerGuide: Recommendations and common questions.

Indiana University has contracts with various vendors such as Dell, Sony, Apple, and others to provide laptop and desktop computers at a student discounted price. For details, see ComputerGuide: Deals by vendor.

Laptop support

At graduate student orientation, Technology Services will hold hands-on sessions to help you connect your machine to the IU network. These sessions are not mandatory, but will be greatly beneficial to most users new to the IU network environment.

Additionally, TS has developed a series of online video tutorials to walk you through the steps from these hands-on sessions. These tutorials are available at the TS User Tutorials page. You can select the appropriate video for your operating system.

Note: You must have Adobe Flash Player installed to view the tutorials. You can download this free player from Adobe's Flash Player page.

If you have further questions, contact the Kelley School of Business Technology Services help desk at 812-855-4247 or  tshelp@indiana.edu .
