In Mac OS X, how do I change the monitor resolution and color depth?
In Mac OS X, you can change the color bit depth and monitor
resolution through the Displays pane of the System
Preferences by following the steps below:
- From the Apple menu, select
System Preferences....
- In System Preferences, from the
Viewmenu, selectDisplays.
- Click the
Displaytab.
- Under "Resolutions:", click the resolution you prefer. From the
menu next to "Colors:", choose the number of colors you want to
display.
- Click the
Colortab to select the display profile or calibrate the display.
