In Windows 2000, how do I make an Emergency Repair Disk?

Before you begin to make a Windows 2000 Emergency Repair Disk, make sure that you have a high-density floppy disk available. Since floppy disks can fail unexpectedly, you should probably make more than one Emergency Repair Disk. Follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, then Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, and finally Backup.

  2. On the welcome screen, click the Emergency Repair Disk button.

Emergency Repair Disks contain security-sensitive information, so be sure to keep them in a safe location.
