ARCHIVED: In Outlook 98 and 2000, what are Corporate or Workgroup, Internet Mail Only, and No E-mail modes?
You can install Outlook 98 and 2000 in one of three different modes:
-
Corporate or Workgroup, for use with an Exchange
server in MAPI mode
-
Internet Mail Only, for use with Unix
and other types of mail servers in IMAP or POP3
mode
- No E-Mail, which provides Calendaring and Personal Information Manager only
To check your mode, from the Help menu, select About
Microsoft Outlook. Your mode is listed just below the version
number.
For information on changing Outlook modes, see the Knowledge Base documents ARCHIVED: In Outlook 2000, how do I change between Internet Mail Only mode and Corporate or Workgroup mode? and ARCHIVED: In Outlook 98, how do I switch installation modes?
Note: Outlook 2002 and later no longer distinguish between Corporate or Workgroup mode and Internet Only mode.
