In Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, or 2003, why is the email I forward formatted strangely?
If Outlook reformats your forwarded mail in an undesirable way, it is probably because Wordmail is active. When you use Wordmail, Outlook uses Microsoft Word to format outgoing and forwarded mail. Word formats the text with more characters per line than most text-based email platforms (e.g., Pine) can accept; therefore, some of the text on a line gets wrapped to the next line.
For instructions on disabling Wordmail, see In Microsoft Outlook 2000 and later for Windows, how do I turn Wordmail on or off?
