Many of the Windows system files are hidden by default. To view the hidden files on your computer, follow these steps:
- From the desktop or the
Startmenu, double-clickMy Computer.
- If you are using Windows 2000 or XP,
from the
Toolsmenu, selectFolder Options. If you are using Windows 95, 98, or NT, from theViewmenu, selectOptions....
- Click the
Viewtab and selectShow hidden files and folders(Windows 2000 or XP) orShow all files(Windows 95, 98, or NT).
- Click
OK.
When you open any folder on your hard drive, you will now see all of the files, including the hidden ones.
