At IU, how do I create an ADS Domain account?
Accounts in the Active Directory Services (ADS) Domain offer access to a variety of Indiana University services. You can create an ADS Domain account by using the account generation system. To request an account, follow these instructions:
- Using a web browser, go to the Account Management Service (AMS) at: https://itaccounts.iu.edu/
- Click
Manage my IU computing accounts.
- If prompted, enter your Network ID username and
passphrase, and click
Continue.
- Click
view your accounts. If "Active Directory Service" is not listed, clickcreate more accounts.
- On the next page that appears, select
Active Directory Service. ClickCreate Account.
- You should see a confirmation message telling you that the account has been requested.
Your ADS Domain account should be available shortly after you submit the request form.
Note: If the Account Management Service lists an ADS Domain account under your name, but you are unable to log into the ADS Domain, your passphrases need to be synchronized. To change or synchronize your passphrases, use the Passphrase Maintenance utility at:
https://passphrase.iu.edu/Also see:
