Where can I learn how to use the IUB Libraries' electronic research resources?
The Indiana University Bloomington Libraries offer online and classroom instruction on how to use the libraries' electronic resources. These resources include the IU Libraries' catalog (IUCAT) and many other databases in a wide variety of subject areas. Students, faculty, and staff at all IU campuses have access to IUCAT. Non-IU affiliates may not have access to all electronic resources in the instructional links listed below. Regardless of your campus affiliation, you may find the general information in the IU Libraries' tutorials and handouts helpful when using library resources.
- If you are an undergraduate at IUB, you can get instructions on how to
use the libraries to find information. See Instructional
Services for Student Researchers.
- To access the instructional handouts, which cover topics such as
basic database searching techniques, how to cite electronic sources,
and how to evaluate web resources, visit the Instructional
Handouts page.
- For a list of interactive tutorials, go here.
- For information specifically for faculty and graduate students,
see the IUB
Libraries' Library Updates page.
- For more information about the resources available from your
campus library, see At IU, how do I access online library resources? and Where can I find online information about IU's libraries?
