How do I get a list of Emacs commands and their keyboard definitions?
In all versions of Emacs, you can get a list of the current key bindings by entering: M-x describe-bindings By default, this help function itself is bound to: C-h b
However, since C-h is often sent by the
Backspace key, many people find it easier to use the
first method.
If you're not sure how to issue these commands in Emacs, see In Emacs, how are keystrokes denoted?
At Indiana University, to get support for personal or departmental Linux or Unix systems, see At IU, how do I get support for Linux or Unix?
